If provided, dataPerformance should be a sequence of 2-tuples:
  ( note, performance )
where performance is of the form:
  ( accuracy, avgCorrectConf, avgIncorrectConf, confusionMatrix, thresh, avgSkipConf, nSkipped )
  the last four elements are optional
